Cemafroid is the center of expertise in cold chain and refrigeration.
With over 60 years of experience in cold chain, Cemafroid is an independent and private company. Refrigeration and cold chain occupy a really important place in the economy and European industry.
Refrigeration is the guarantee of quality and security in food and health sectors and allows for the well-being of people while respecting the environment.
With over 40 % of global agricultural produces and up to 50% of vaccines deteriorated in the world, it is an increasing challenge to be able to feed and heal 9 billion people by 2050 and respect the earth by obliging professionals to master cold chain and refrigeration.
Cemafroid is the independent expert of refrigeration. We bring our expertise for the choice, management and the control of the cold chain, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems.
We help our clients to improve their economic and ecological performances and in reduce their risks.
The technical professionals of Cemafroid share their knowledge, experience and expertise with the values of impartiality and independence to answer the clients needs with reactivity and to offer them high quality of service
The S.C.I.R.E. Consortium is a non-profit organization and it was founded in 2001 by the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” and the “Elasis” research center (FIAT group). One of the main aim of SCIRE is to carry out, promote and improve research activities in the principals sectors of numerical techniques for virtual prototyping (CFD, thermal and structural analysis).
In order to reach this aim the Consortium promotes interaction between public research and private companies. In the last years SCIRE has developed detailed knowledge in energy and environmental engineering fields, providing methodologies and tools to analyze energy systems and thermal engineering/heat transfer devices.
TCS Micropumps is a world leading developer and manufacturer of miniature pumps. It designs products for its own standard range as well as specialising in the development of miniature pumps for specific customer requirements.
Camfridge is an award-winning world leader in developing energy-efficient, rare-earth free and gas-free cooling technology for refrigeration, conventional cooling, and heat pumping applications based on magnetic refrigeration principles.
A venture-backed company spun out of the University of Cambridge in 2004, Camfridge’s primary focus has been packaged cooling applications in the consumer sector where conventional gas based cooling technology is inefficient. Camfridge technology seeks to deliver a 100% improvement in efficiency while maintaining a competitive cost. Camfridge showed the technical and economical feasibility of this technology in the domestic market by being the first in the world to have developed a magnetocaloric cooling engine having the same size and weight of a domestic fridge gas compressor.
Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI) is the most important technical university in Italy and one of the biggest in Europe. Since 1850 Politecnico di Milano has been active in several scientific and technical fields, and more specifically a Management and Production Engineering Master of Science degree since 1985.
The Department of Economics, Management and Industrial Engineering (DIG – Dipartimento di Ingegneria Gestionale) is involved in the ELICiT project, using distinct competencies developed through previous projects such as Linked Design and Premanus, in the field of Product Lifecycle Management / Life Cycle Management.
Furthermore, the Department has been involved in several European notable projects like PROMISE, INCOCO-S, PRIME, SOCRADES, LeanPPD, EMC2, PlantCockpit, Gala, MSEE, S-MC-S, e-Sonia, Pathfinder, Manuskills and has coordinated the IMS NoE and the IMS2020 CSA.
